New Site Design - The Solopreneur Life
You know how every once in awhile a new client approaches you with a project that you think, “Wow, that’s going to be so great!”. That was how it was when Larry approached us to design his new site, The Solopreneur Life.
The Solopreneur life is a resource that contains “insight and encouragement for being your own boss”. And at what a great time too when there are so many people striking out on their own who need all the tips and advice they can get, right? Larry has been a freelance writer since 1993, so he knows a thing or two. The site is full of resources, tips, and other fun tid bits.
We put the site into Wordpress so that Larry could easily update the blog and site pages as often as he wishes.
As far as the design goes, Larry wanted it to feel warm and comfortable, as if you were looking out into a wide open landscape. So, the header design illustrated by Koldo is meant to reflect that feel and concept. We also did something a little unusual during our the design discovery phase and asked Larry to show us book covers that he liked the feel of. We thought this would be a good way to explore possibilities with him on his own ground since he’s a writer. It was fun!
Larry was a joy to work with. Sometimes you think clients couldn’t be lovelier to work with and Larry is absolutely one of those people. I even accidentally misspelled “Solopreneur” several times and he never said a thing! Talk about patience right there. :)

This site is a home run. I can’t even think of another metaphor to describe it. Totally freaking amazing. This must be what happens when amazing client meets amazing designer!
Thanks so much, Kelly! You always make me smile. :)
